Our Team Building Events utilize enjoyable activities to increase employee connection and encourage lasting collaboration. The warm atmosphere of our studio offers a true "retreat" feel and is ideal for resetting stressed relationships and deepening new ones. 

Your employees will participate in learning a new and thoroughly enjoyable activity ... an activity that some of your team will have already had an interest in trying out! Moreover, a couple weeks after the event, your employees will be able to take home (or take to the workplace!) some lovely artwork that they created during the team's retreat. It is a wonderful way to say "thank you" to your valued employees and for your employees to remember your efforts on their behalf.

To a significant extent, the type of event you book with us will depend on the type of clay that best fits your needs: our regular, Hi-fire White clay or Air-dry clay.  Because of the different demands on our staff, the two types of clay represent very different price-points for you:

Hi-fire White clay requires quite a bit of work from our studio's staff after the event because of the number of steps involved in the pottery process: "throwing" on the wheel, trimming (prettying up the pieces after they have dried for a few days), firing (after the pieces have dried for another week or so), glazing and then firing again. Your team will spend all of its time throwing and our staff will complete all of the other steps on their own, after your event.

Air-dry clay is designed to give your team the experience of "throwing" on the pottery wheel and, of course, having a great time together (rather than focusing on coming out with polished, pristine pieces - those who discover true joy from the experience might choose to pursue more artful avenues after the event). It requires no extra work from our team because pieces made with this clay are not conducive to trimming and can not be fired in the kiln. At the end of the event your team will take their pieces with them when they leave (and, if they like, can paint them on their own with any type of acrylic paint). Unlike Hi-fire White Clay, air-dry clay is not food-safe.

All of the following options include 15 minutes of clean up before the end of the event and longer time-periods can be negotiated:
Hi-Fire White Clay Option 1: Full Team-Building Event
Your team will spend three hours in our studio learning how to "throw" on the pottery wheel. Hand-building and specific team-building activities may also be offered, depending on the group. After the event we will trim, fire (in our kiln), glaze and fire again each participant's 2 favourite pieces that they created during the event and, after a few weeks, the artwork will be ready for pick up. These events are $200 per person.
Hi-Fire White Clay Option 2: Team-Building Light Event:
Same as Option 1 except your team will spend two-and-one-half hours in our studio and after the event we will trim, fire (in our kiln), glaze and fire again each participant's favourite (single) piece. These events are $130 per person.
"Air-dry" Clay Events (minimum of 2 participants):
For a 2-1/2 hour event: 8 people or less – $80 per participant; 9-12 people – $75 per participant; 13 people or more – $70 per participant.
 
To add built-in time for food/beverages and socializing: add $50 + $5 per participant (to a maximum of $50) for each extra ½ hour added.

For larger groups, the entire studio will be dedicated to your team and we have plenty of comfy room for socializing as well as a full kitchen and many serving tables for any food/refreshments your group would like to bring. We also have access to a Persian caterer should you be interested in providing a novel meal or finger foods to your team (but please remember to bring your own refreshments and cutlery/plates if you go this route).

We will do our best to accommodate date changes within the month of Event bookings (as long as we have at least 48 hours notice) but Event registrations are not refundable.
