We primarily offer 3 types of Private Events (although more are available):

“1-Hour” Workshop:

This workshop lasts 1 hour, plus cleanup. This type of workshop is best for groups simply seeking enjoyable time together and giving pottery a try to see if they would like to pursue it further (rather than leaving with polished, professional-looking pieces). Although our instruction is deep and heart-felt, there is not enough time for participants to acquire any sort of true, ceramics independence ... they will need help from the instructor to create their artwork. Participants take their pieces with them at the end of the event and decide if they would want to come back and paint them and have them fired in our kiln one day one day.

Price (please add HST to all prices):

3 (minimum) or 4 participants: $75 each

5-7 participants: $70 each

8-12 participants: $65 each

“Light” Workshop:

This two hour (plus cleanup) workshop with a private instructor allows participants to learn the true practice of "throwing" on the pottery where they move towards real, independent creation.

After the event, each participant will leave their favourite piece with Mozhgan, our head instructor. She will let that piece dry for a few days, trim it (which is the second step in the pottery process and pretties up the artwork significantly), let it dry for another week or two, fire it in the kiln, glaze it and, finally, fire it again. After three or four weeks, your group's contact person would then call us to arrange picking up the pieces.

Price: $130 (plus HST) per participant.

“Full” Workshop:

This three hour (including cleanup) workshop with a private instructor allows participants to learn the true practice of "throwing" on the pottery wheel where they move towards real, independent creation.  Hand-building and specific team-building activities may also be offered, depending on the requirements of your group.

After the event, each participant will leave their favourite two pieces with Mozhgan, our head instructor. She will let your group's artwork dry for a few days, trim them (trimming is the second step in the pottery process and pretties up the artwork significantly), let them dry for another week or two, fire them in the kiln, glaze them and, finally, fire them again. After three or four weeks, your group's contact person would then call us to arrange picking up the pieces.

Price: $200 (plus HST) per participant.

Please let us know which type you are most interested in or let us know what your needs might be and we will do our best to make them happen.

To add built-in time for food/beverages, socializing, presentations, opening gifts, etc.: add $50 for each extra ½ hour added. If some instruction is happening during these extra bits of time, please also add $5 per participant (to a maximum of $50).

For larger groups, the entire studio will be dedicated to your team and we have plenty of comfy room for socializing as well as a full kitchen and many serving tables for any food/refreshments your group would like to bring. We also have access to a Persian caterer should you be interested in providing a novel meal or finger foods to your team to further expend their novel experience at our studio (but please remember to bring your own refreshments and cutlery/plates if you go this route).

We will pencil your event in as soon as you let us know what date/time is available and bookings (at least for smaller groups) are typically confirmed once two participants pay for their bookings (the balance must be paid within 7 days of the start of your event). We will do our best to accommodate date changes within the month of Event bookings (as long as we have at least 48 hours notice) but Event bookings are not refundable.
